Chicken Pot Pie
A new twist on an old favorite with the added convenience of being a one-pot wonder. Freeze dried white chicken meat with carrots, corn and peas over seasoned mashed potatoes with a delicious gravy.
This is what the folks at Backpacker Magazine had to say, "With a buttery mashed potato base, real chunks of chicken, and a medley of veggies that rehydrated to their original texture, this meal was a winner with testers. “It tastes like real food—it’s in a totally different league than other pre-packaged pot pies,” says one.
Remove potato pouch and gravy packet from cook-in-bag. Remove clay desiccant and discard. Boil 4 cups of water. Pour 2 cups of water into the cook-in-bag with the mashed potatoes. Shake, stir and blend completely. Seal bag and set aside. Pour veggie/meat ingredients and gravy packet into remaining water in cook pot. Bring back to boil. Simmer 8-10 minutes. Serve potatoes in serving bowls. Pour veggie/meat gravy over potatoes. Enjoy!
